The last one ----- It is done

I am at a hotel in Seattle in view of a flight to Houston. My mission is to officiate at my son's wedding. He is the last of my three children. When this is finished, I will have baptized and officiated at the weddings of all three. Some may understand how significant that is to a pastor.

I have also enjoyed the privilege of baptizing several of my 12 grandchildren. Keeping the faith alive from generation to generation in my own family is extremely important to me, especially in the world climate that exists today.

Stiles,
That is just a wonderful thing. I know that you and your family are thrilled that you are able to do this.

Also, when you fly over Ft. Lewis, between Olympia and Tacoma, wave and say a prayer for us. We will travel by car to Seattle tomorrow.

Happy trails, and may your travels be safe.

Really nice!! What a memory to leave with all of your family and grandchildren. Congratulations.

Our only son got married this past Saturday. We prayed for years that God would send a christian girl into his life and HE DID!! She is the daughter of a pastor. He walked her down the aisle, gave her away, and married them. What a beautiful time.

Stiles, How wonderful, and those are certainly some of the extra benefits of being a pastor. I had the privilege of holding a baptismal service in the Jordon river in the area believed to be where John baptized Jesus. What a stirring moment when I was able to baptize my dear wife! There are those challenging times but the extra rewards far outweigh the difficult times. May God bless you!

4:45 PM, today they said "I will." Half minute later, I pronounced them "husband and wife".
