FYI Just read on RV.net about a couple that lost their entire wheel assembly on their 05 Open Road 357. Never knew it and drove another 20 miles. Stopped to eat and found it. Running on Michelin Ribs. The remaining tire held, no blow out!!! Go to rv.net, fiver forum, search box for "Wheel Assembly". Read their story. I was amazed!

I did read the Wheel Assembly post on another forum. It was amazaing and I also gained insight that with a tire monitoring system, the loss of the wheel assembly would have alerted the driver sooner. May have to invest in one. Tks. Dennis

We lost the wheel on our 2003 and couldn't tell for miles. We were flagged down by a fellow traveler. Tacoma tires - No blow outs! We even drove it another 40 miles into Beaver Utah with the Wrecker from AAA following us.

Tacoma tires where China junk. I would hate to have our story construed as a testimonial for Tacoma tires! Just don't read more into what you read.

Michelin Ribs are fine tires, but they are not a gift from above. If you really want to sell tires to the MOC, tell Michelin we need an LRE tire that will actually carry the weight on our 7K axled Montanas.

Nope - studs gone

Dory actually found the wheel and tire after we drove back down the same road the next day.

Great pics. Wow! I hope I'm never in that situation. Not trying to sell anything to anybody. I just have a burr under my saddle about the MADE IN CHINA thing. We Americans are getting hosed on the products that are coming into our country. When it comes to tires, BUY AMERICAN. I don't care what brand. It's a safety issue with me, thats all. I don't want to see anyone on the side of the highway with a blow out on their rig. As for why they don't make a particular size, don't know. I just know they have more tires on the road carrying alot of weight safely than any other manufacturer.

I hear ya - why don't you pull some strings and tell them to come out with a G or even an E that will carry 3,500 lbs! I'd get them in a second.

In the meantime - money has to go to Goodyear for the G614 to stay American
