What A Great Sight!!

Today I was outside working and happened to look up and see about 20-25 Whooping Cranes flying north. I knew at first they were cranes but had to look at them with binoculars to make sure. The only other time I've seen them was on the bay out of Port Aransas.

Come to Nebraska and see MANY of them, They stop along the Platte River between Grand Island and Kearney--the fields are full of them and the Sand Hill Cranes

It's too early to fly north for these old birds, but keep your binoculars out. When we do fly north late April, we may fly over and look for a place to land and rest up.
