Electricity Payback

Well, Hanna is sitting at my brother's house in Central Massachusetts, 20 miles west of Worcester. Last evening around midnight, the storm came through. We lost power from midnight until 4:50 p.m today. After several hours of no electricity and a well stocked refrigerator, I cranked up the Onan 5500 LP and fed an extension cord to the refrigerator. After all, he had been supplying me with 110 for the refer since I got there, so the least I could do is repay the favor. Right?

Just goes to show you that what goes around, comes around.

By the way, yesterday temperatures in New England broke some records. Nashua, NH, recorded 101 degrees. Several areas in Mass. had records broken in the mid to high 90's.

We are in Newport, RI, again enjoying the nice Narragansett Bay breezes. We are staying with my son next to the Fort Adams State Park. No hookups there so Hanna stayed in Mass.

I really love how self sufficient we are in these Montanas. Especially with the gen and backup batt power. Nice sense of security, I must say.

Before our Montana days, in our houses we would always worry about a loss of power (NW Mich is located in a heavy snowbelt area). Happened once in January a few years ago. No water pressure, no heat. 6 hrs later, and stressed to the max, Cheryl and I finally had our power restored.

I love my Montana. Let it rain!!!

Hi Wayne and Earlene -- We are in Wyoming tonight after 5 days in CO. It snowed there yesterday and the winds were so high in the night we put in the slides! Enjoying your water connection and bought the parts that were missing. Thanks again! Ruth

Hope we meet up again. Enjoyed seeing you at Tom Sawyer. Keep us posted on your where-abouts as we will be leaving NE sometime after the 4th holiday.

Yup! I still need to buy another 4 way faucet and quick disconnects. Soon as I make a Wally-world run. Glad you are getting some use out of it.

All RV'ers have to do is follow me around for awhile and pick up what I leave behind!
