New to the Site

Hello. We are new to the site as of today. We have an 03 Mountaineer Montana 305FKS and WE LOVE IT!!! We have 2 children (10 & 15) and there's plenty of room for all 4 of us. We pull our camper with an 03 Chevy Silverado Z-71 and it pulls like a dream. We started out camping w/my parents when they purchased an older motorhome (Class C). We got the fever & bought a 72 International Motorhome 27'. We lived in it for 5 months while building our house (2 adults, 2 children & 2 cats). We go to NASCAR races as much as possible so this is perfect for us. We saw the Mountaineer @ a local dealer & fell in love with it. It's so well made and spacious.
Hope to post more soon...going to Darlington in May!! Can hardly wait!!

Wendy,
Welcome to the MOC forum. Thanks for taking the time to post and tell us a little about yourselves and your family. It is always so nice to see new members jumping right in with a post. We will be looking forward to your future posts. Please feel free to jump in with any questions you may have. Usually there is someone in the MOC with an answer or someone to direct you to the right place to get an answer. May you enjoy many happy miles in Mountaineer.

Welcome - as you can see from our signature, there are other TT owners here - not just 5ers. We have a 2000 305FKS we bought used from an individual and just love it !!! We have had absolutely no problems whatsoever other than maintenance or something I did (rubbed a tree or two, closed the slide on an open drawer, etc.)

Welcome aboard! You have a very nice rig there and I'm sure you'll get much enjoyment from it. Where is Garner, NC, relative to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park? We're currently in Gatlinburg, TN.

We are near Raleigh and we work in Durham. We're a good 5 hours from the mountains. We havent gone west yet in our camper, just east to the beach!

Yes, I am an Elliott Sadler fan....LOVE HIM!!! He's so cool w/his fans. He has signed 2 of my personal cars on the dash!! We pulled for DW until he retired & then I just kinda picked Elliott because I thought he was "hot"!!

Ahhh, TarHeel Country (coming to you from Jayhawk country!). We overnighted in Greensboro a couple of weeks ago, on our way here. Not far from you.
