Let's Talk What We Are Seeing on New Montanas
As I mentioned in a previous post, we are SERIOUSLY looking. We are looking at a new floor plan. But while crawling around, I see wet bolts and Correct Track axle alignment system, factory install, is this system a new addition? What else has anyone seen that appears to be new to the line.

Wet Bolts are not new. Correct track alignment system is a Lippert product http://www.lci1.com/correct-track-ii sounds good....

Lots of new led strip lighting, 100 inch wide bodies, crown mouldings, and don't overlook the optional level up.

I think all the new improvements are great. The only one I am not sure of is the new 100" or 102" body width. My mirrors are adequate to see around my 2014 but I sure wouldn't want to expand the body out any.

Montana and Moutaineer remain 96 inches wide and are still built in the same plant. Big Sky and Montana High Country are 100 inches wide and are being built on a new assy line. Montana is available with full body paint and all other options listed in the 2014 "Big Sky Package", but without the BS logo. Hope this is helpful.

Adjustable spring shackles in 1/4" increments. What a waste of time.
If you know anything about axle alignment, to say you have to settle with 1/4" movements, is a crock.
If Lippert built a decent frame, put the hangers where they should be, made the hangers the proper width for Dexter springs, this would not be needed.
More B/S from Lippert.

Thanks for the input, the Correct track is a step in the right direction, talked to the truck shop guys on Saturday, like they said, 1/4" makes their job a whole lot easier, and as they said 90% of all trailers are out of alignment to some degree, and they were talking about over the road trailers and travel trailers. They also stated that most don't start out that way, but with curbs and such being what they are, the driver can very easily knock and axle out. So just because its delivered aligned, doesn't mean it will stay that way. And as far as knowing about axle alignment, yep, have set up everything from leaf to ladder for the past 30 years. Custom drag trucks, cars, and offroad race vehicles at your service.

I would have to check, but I thought my 2012 F350 had the widest mirrors available. I am seeing way too many TT's and fivers going down the road with mirrors that don't extend past their units at all, I think this will just add to that problem. Also, I don't know if you would really notice the extra 12 or 14 square feet of room spread out over the entire length.

The wider body, is very noticeable, it also let's them make the slides alittle deeper. I don't know how much more livable they are. And I agree on the mirrors, on my Chevy, I have just enough for what I have now.

They are not wider bodies they are still 96in like they always have been, The new Big Sky is 100in and yes you notice a difference inside we are in my buddies SOB all the time with a 100in frame you would not think 4in makes much of a difference but it does IMO and my Buddy has a 2012 F350 short bed just like yours JandC and has no problem seeing the trailer

4 inches is only 2 inches on each side and shouldn't have a noticeable difference in your mirrors.
