Ordered new Mountaineer

Hello All
New to this forum and I have a question. I Just ordered (on 10/4) a 327RKS. My first question is is that the dealer told us it should be in in 5 to 6 weeks. Does this seem like a reasonable time frame? I have read that most people who have ordered Montanas and have had to wait 8 weeks. I figured 8 weeks was because montanas are so popular. Should I expect 5-6 weeks or 8 weeks?

jh1802: I don't know who your dealer is, but we ordered a 328 Mountaineer on July 2, and took delivery on August 1st. All in the same year. Hope you receive the enjoyment that we have. Had some minor problems i.e. leaking slides. Wagon is in the shop now for repairs. Will know if sucessful in a couple weeks as we are taking it to Fl. and we all know it rains in FL.

I don't think they have the same backlog on Mountaineers as they do on Montanas. Guess everybody hasn't found out about us yet -- should we tell em?

Congratulations on your new tt, I hope you are as happy with yours as we are with ours.

Good Luck

Congratulations jh1802. We saw some new Mountaineers at the Harrisburg PA RV Show and were very impressed with them. Can't remember which models we saw.

Your dealer will soon be able to supply you with the date your rig is scheduled to come off the line. Keep on him about getting you that date. Then ask him when it will be delivered to him and how long he needs to prep it for you. He may not get you all this info if you don't ask. Then you should have a better feel for when it actually will be ready for you.

Hope you have many years of enjoyment with it.

We ordered ours in January 2003 and it came in the end of March (either 6 or 7 weeks later). Of course ours was a brand new model at the time and the floorplan wasn't even in the brochure or on the web site yet. We happened across it at a dealer and fell in love it, went back two days later and it was sold so we had to order.

I ordered my new Mountaineer 335RLS on Sept 14th, and the dealer told me to expect about an 8 week wait. He said the wait for the Mountaineers was 10-12 weeks in the middle of the summer. My dealer is in New Hampshire and I don't know if that impacts the delivery time vs one being delivered closer to the factory. When I ordered my Chevy truck it was held up an extra 2 weeks because of delivery issues from Flint, Michigan. It's a tough wait, but it will be a very fun November!

We ordered our Mountaineer on April 5 of this year and it came in on May 27. We were told it would take about 8-10 weeks so that was a little over 8 weeks.
