Seems as though some folks now days want the CEO's pay and the helpers responsibilities, and they want it now. Maybe by the time it needs to happen things will click.

I guess my story can help others still earning and not yet retired, some of my debt was from past HVAC business, but I take responsibility for not paying Cash when I should have. It's so easy to just charge it. This morning on Fox news, they are talking about parents having their kids co-sign on loans for them. Now, that is sick.

I'm sure it hurts when your in the payoff mode but I bet it feels good in the end. Great job staying focused. In 32 months I'll be debt free as well with house and all paid off. I look forward to being like ya'll. Great job.

Watched a show the other night about the American family debt. It continues to grow and grow. SIGH.......

We were blessed in that just before I retired, we paid off everything, farm, truck, car, etc, except the Monty. We could do that too, but I'm keeping that one because it's the only tax deduction we've got left. And it does help........!

It's been a bit tight, but we're managing. And next year, I can start drawing social security. That will definitely help. Might be able to take an extra trip, and cook a dinner with REAL food, instead of having to pick up "road kill" along the way!!

Jim and Sue,
When either of you look in the mirror, say these words, "We are a success!"

Thanks for sharing.

What a great testimony!

We're still working on that. The house will be paid off in less than two years, so all we'll have will be the truck & Montana loans, and by then we'll both have the Social Security supplement, too. So we'll get those paid down.

You're a real inspiration!
