More MOC'ers on Racoon Mountain

We pulled into Raccoon Mountain RV park today and there was Swanny just down from us. He and his wife Kathy are here for the Outback rally since they used to have an Outback. Unfortunately they are leaving tomorrow and we will be here for close to a week. It is great running into fellow MOCers on the road...

yes, finally crossed paths with a fellow MOC member. Met Dave and Betsy (Exnavydiver) at Raccoon Mt. CG in Tenn. We were here for a week, first three days were rough, heavy rain and wind. The end of the week was great. Hope the great weather continues for Dave and Betsy. Sure is a beautiful part of the country.

It must be another Montana rally, Mynabird (Bob and Mina Greenlee)just arrived at Raccoon Mountain with their new Level-Up system for a few days. They are parked right next to us. So I guess I should notify the rest of you that may be in the Chattanooga area to stop by. We will be here till next Saturday, come on down!

Good Evening to the McNairs! Just a question for you-- How many signs have you seen for a visit to Ruby Falls? It is quite a deal--- the tour is great but the end result is not what you expect! You are all psyched up and the next thing you hear is a large squeaky faucet being turned on and then the "beauty of the falls begins"! I don't think I've ever been on a tour that they actually turn the water off and on for you! IF you decide to go there--or maybe you have already, let us know what you think and if they do this for you and the rest of your tour group! Have a great time there around Chattanooga. It's some great country and some really great places to see. We enjoyed our visit to Rock City! If you get a chance to go up on Lookout Mountain, do it and check out the paragliding off the mountain. Mary has relatives "up on the mountain" and we hit it everytime we're in the area. This time of year should be truly beautiful in the way of the leaves changing in color also. Take care and say "Hi!" to Bob and Mina from us will you!?!

Welcome to our city! Do not miss the Downtown/Riverfront area. Lots to do and many good eating places.

Next time thru you might want to try Chester Frost Park to set up. Nice county facility on the river.

Also, you may want to visit:
1. Chattanooga-Chickamauga National Military Park
2. The IMAX
3. Rock City
4. One of the largest fresh water acquariums in the US of A
5. The high-speed 40 MPH hydroplane on the Tennessee River
6. The Encline up Lookout Mountain
7. Chickamauga Dam
8. And Finally, the caverns at Raccoon Mountian RV Park

P. S. Chattanooga was my hometown also.

Yes, we pulled right in next to Dave & Betsy and had not even finished getting in the site when they appeared and were just bouncing around that another MOCer was here!!! (Can you imagine if more show up?)

I have to say it is nice to be in a park with familiar people and to share is the "frosting on the cake"!

As Dave says they are here and we are here for a few days! If you are in the area.... "come on down"!!!
