Pinbox Filled with water

I noticed that my safety cable at the pinbox was not stuffed inside the pinbox where it usually is when we are camping. At first I thought it may be birds building a nest inside the pinbox which had happened before. When I put my hand inside the pinbox I was surprised to find out it was completely filled with water. We recently had the plate added for the superslide hitch so there was no way for water to leak out. I had to drill a couple holes in the hitch plate for it to drain out. I still am not sure how all the water got in there.

wow, would never have occured to me that those things could hold water. I guess instead of a bird house, you ended up with a bird bath

I would check the roof where the front cap and the rubber roof come together. There may be a caulk failure allowing water to get under and run down hill. Also check to see that the lights up there all have good seals around them.
