Galley tank?

Greetings all. I stop by once a week and read what's happening but haven't posted more than a couple times.

We had our 34' '03 Big Sky out for the first time last weekend since we bought it in December, and it was super. Everything works like it should and I swear it looks new inside and out. We are just so impressed, and so were all our visitors, with the quality and amenities of our Big Sky. The PO had the sofa at the end instead of the recliners so we moved them around as we like the chairs at the end. Just in passing, it pulls like a dream with our Dodge dually.

Okay, we do have one question: the control pad lists four tank levels: Grey, Black, Fresh, and Galley. I did find some minimal specifications online but could find no reference to a galley tank. Does anyone have a info on what it is or how big it is? It's not a big deal but "inquiring minds want to know".

Now just an opinion or two: the Montana doesn't really move around that much but we are considering some chocks/braces. Would you get the tire chocks like Roto-Chocks or something similar, a king-pin stabilizer, or both? Any input will be appreciated. I am leaning toward getting both and have read many posts about the pros and cons of both, but I'm always ready for more.

Not sure how the tanks are set up on the big Sky but as far as stabilization we use the wheel locking chocks and the front pin tri-pod and together they make a big difference along with the rear jacks.

Here Is what I am using now I'll be getting a pair on roto chocks soon, they work great to eliminate most of the movement when set up.

Roto Chocks and a King pin stabilizer work for us.

On our unit, not a 3400, the galley tank is 38 gal, grey water is 38 gal and black water is 38 gal.
We use the Roto-Choks exclusively. Insert them before unhitching. Remove only after hitched up.

Thank you all. Sounds like we will be getting both chocks and king pin stabilizer.

Thank you Orv & Marge, it looks like ours has the same configuration as yours. The specifications list a 38 gal black and a 76 gal gray. If the gray were two 38 gal tanks, it would make sense. So I'm figuring that's the way it works.

On our 3475, the valve handle for the galley tank is above the sewer outlet connection--that is outside the basement! I use a king pin stabilizer and wheel chokes--really stablizing everything.

On our '03 3280 Montana the galley pull was located behind the rear tire on the road side. You might need to look up to see it first time, but after that it's easy to reach. The rotochocks do the same thing, jam the tires apart. The hitch pin support seems to reduce a bit of bounce.

Thanks Skip & Mary, I found the galley pull (although I didn't know for sure that is what it was) and that is what made me start wondering about the galley tank. That and the control pad.

We just love this thing. We took showers and commented on how big the shower is, heck I've been in motel rooms that had smaller showers. Montana did a superb job.
