Happy friday to all!

Good morning everyone.
Been full timing for 5 years so to speak. I'm a construction superintendent that travels and lives in my RV. I absolutely love it. I do most of my own repairs and figured instead of just google searching forums for help I would join one so here I am. Looking forward to reading peoples adventure stories and getting a little help with RV problems along the way. I am currently in Wichita KS. Still not sure exactly where to ask questions in here but I figured I would start by saying hello!

Welcome to the forum!

Ask your questions, if they are not in the right place that can get sorted out later.

Home sweet home.

I'm staying at Englewood RV just up the road. I'm here for 2 more years so I wanted a yard for the wife's dog to use when she comes to stay and its a bit more protected from the wind. Not the nicest place to stay but I'm easy to please.

Ice maker issue

If anyone has an idea about my ice maker issue in my other post let me know. The only one so far thinks the ice maker is bad. Hate to order one if I can fix the old one. Its actually brand new.

I am not sure about your model or age of your rig, but ours has a water shutoff valve. Our valve is located behind a lower drawer next to the refrigerator.

We also have the ability to turn off the ice maker in the refrigerator. The Samsungs have a touch button in the upper crossbar when the refrigerator door is open.

Those are the easy solutions. Beyond that, I'm afraid I can't help.

We found the cut off valve to the left of the refrigerator in the cabinet and behind the inside panel to turn the water on. The ice maker still didn’t work and we figured out that the ice button was off when we actually thought it was on. The tiny small print on the ice indicator says “ice off”. We still laugh about it and works after 3 weeks of trying to figure it out.

problem solved

Anita
This was exactly what was wrong. It seems very backwards to me to have a light come on when the maker is actually off but I guess in Keystones world it made sense. The feral was also ruined at the valve behind the drawer and had to replace that. After reading a few blogs it seems the guy installing that line has no clue how because I read tons of comments that had the exact same bad feral. Were all good now though! Thanks for replying and have a great day!

Oh I forgot to mention the ferrell in our water line was crushed causing a leak. Glad you have it working now!
