Dorian Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Has anyone used a Dorian Tire Pressure Monitoring System or any other type of tire pressure monitoring system. Were interested in purchasing a system like this and I seem to remember reading where someone has one.

I have the Dorian. I only have it on the montana and so far it seem s to be working well. It did sound an alarm when the temp dropped to the low 30s but I put more air in the tire and it has not sounded off again.

Hi We use the Dorian system on the trailer and found it gives peace of mind. We were amazed to find out the pressure rises from 80 to 92 or 93 once the tires heat up on the road. Never realized how much the change and thats traveling in 50' weather. Don't have a clue what will happen in 80+' temps. Dan

I also have the Doran system. This will be my 3rd year with it.works great.the one drawback is the batteris have a life span of about 3 years.then you have to send back the sensers and have new batteries installed. You can`t do this yourself. So far all my sensers are still working and i`am close to the 3 year life span. Its really nice to be able to monitor your tire pressure while traveling down the highway. It don`t stop a blow out but it will sure alert you if one of your tires is losing air.

We just got one but have not tried it yet as the Monty is in for minor warranty issues. We probably won't use it until next time out or spring.

Don said it is normal for tire pressure to increase as tire heats up.

Don is right. That's why the manufacturers have the "Max Cold PSI" molded into the tire. This allows for the heat. 90 psi is not abnormal after running for a while.

I had the Doran and loved it but it did not like my Ham Radio. They operate on 430MHZ and that is the third harmonic of the 2 meter band and next door to the 440MHZ band.
Good luck and tow safe.

We've been using this system and it seems to work well for us at hundreds of $$s less. http://www.shamelesscommerce.com/web...tegory_rn=1334

I was interested in the one from trailer life as well. I am going to look into that one as well. Inside the tire with no cap to loose. Price is compareable with the Doran too.

I'm like you Ron NO caps to loose or to be stolen from the trailer. It may cost to have them mounted, but the cost to replace one cap will cover that.

Have had our Pressure Pro system for roughly one month. Seems to work well. As stated before, its so easy to monitor the air pressure in the TV & fiver from the front seat. Also saw tire pressures go up as much as 8 to 10 lbs. per tire when tires are hot. I bought the locks, for the wheel transmitters, but so far have not used them as when installed, they seem to fit tightly.

Just my two cents worth!
