Rv Light Fixture Removal

Hey all. New to this forum, but not new to RVing or to Montanas . I’m wanting to know if anyone has ever changed out an RV “pendant light” (not sure that’s what this kind actually is) like this one over the Island? We’re wanting to go from 12v to 110, but the fixture is 12v and the running light in it is 110. Not real sure, but this might be a bit tricky to swap out. Yes it works ok barely serving it’s purpose, but to me it’s ugly, and I don’t like it, so I want something else put up in it’s place. I’m just curious as to what anyone may have encountered in doing this particular swap/project. I’ve searched the group, but came up empty, so any advice would be appreciated TY

I have not changed any light fixtures in our rig. But I think it would be very difficult to rewire the light to provide 110vac instead of 12vdc. Add to that the fact you would only have lights when on shore power. If you just simply don't like the fixture, you might search for another 12vdc fixture more to your liking. The rewire would be extremely difficult IMHO.

We changed out that exact light fixture. We used a standard fixture and use a 12V bulb in it. I'll see if I can find a picture.
