Tire Jack
Last year I became a proud owner of a 2955RL Montana. I would like to know what would be the best jack to carry in case I have a flat? I'm new to the MOC web site, but the more I use it, the better I understand it.
Thank You

I carry a six-ton bottle jack and it has had no problem lifting the Monty when I have had flats (two to date). There are details on the jacking procedure that should be able to be found using the search function.

Welcome to the Forum. I also carry a 6 ton bottle jack for the Monty. In fact I carry two of them. Also carry a couple of 1/4" steel plates about 4" x 6" that I use to place between the jack ram and the axle U bolts when jacking up the rig. This way I do not have the bottle jack stress on about a 1" square area of any place I use the jack.

I use a 12 ton Over kill is for me plus its easier to push the handle up and down. the channel welded to the top is to keep it from sliding off the round axel tubing. here is a picture for some ideas.

I got a 20-Ton jack at Northern Tool for $29.95 about a year ago. Looks like price has gone up.
They have a 12-Ton for 31.99

I carry a 20 ton bottle jack also but when I do need to change a tire I just run the good tire up on blocks and the flat tire comes off the ground also, easier than jacking! blocks are angle cut and stack.
