Check that remote control battery
We have a 10th anniversary edition Montana 3465SA. I was having some problems moving the slides in and out. They would move a little and then stop. Move a little more and then stop again. I thought that I was having some serious electrical problems. Then the same thing started happening with the stabilizers. I then realized that the problem was not with the coach but with the battery in the remote control. Changed the battery in the remote and everything works well. That's going to be part of my annual maintenance-to change that battery at the same time as I change the smoke detector batteries in the stick house.
Just thought it might save someone else a little aggrevation.

Ray -
I'm starting to have the same issue. Did you have to reprogram after changing the battery?

Ron...I saw your other post on the remote battery. The other responses were correct-you don't have to reprogram. The battery type was readily available at hardware stores. I'm going to make a point of changing that battery at least once a year.

Always remember, no matter what you are trouble shooting, the easiest thing to check first is the battery. Don't ask me how I know.

I have a 2010 and I need to change the battery on my remote. I found one screw in the keyring holder, but can't get the remote open. Are there screws under the decal I can't detect? (I have numb fingertips from chemotherapy.) I was just at a montana dealer and they had no clue.

Yes,
There is a 2nd screw in the middle, under the decal.

Ken,
Thanks! I was able to zero in on it with my pocket knife. The decal on mine is really thick and I didn't want to peel the whole thing off as I never remember the sequence to turn it on. Maybe if I camped more than 3 or 4 times an year?...

If you get a year out of that battery you are lucky. It's not big enough of a battery.

I carry 2 extra batteries for the remote and hang them on the cup hook right behind it. I agree with Clemson1881, if you get a year out of the battery, you are lucky. I end up changing ours 2-3 times per year.
