oil for slide pump

What kind of oil do we put in the slide-out pump? If we ever need any.

Hi,
You should use a ATF Dexron 3/Mercon transmission fluid. It is red, but this is OK according to MIMF2.
You can mix it with the existing one.

I use HWH hyrdaulic fluid, which is made for slideouts and hydraulic levelling systm that you find on a Class A motor. Works great and have had no problem.

Quoted from a previous reply by our resident slide expert MIMF2.....

Quote:
quote:Yup! The cheapest stuff in town you can find! As long as on the label of the bottle you see Dexron III/ Mercon or Mercon IV. Color won't mean "diddly". Add the fluid to the reservoir with the rooms in and fill it to about 1/2" from the top.

Be sure to add fluid while the slides are in...or it will be over full.
