TST TPMS transmitters corroded onto valve stems

Last October, I installed the TS transmitters onto the (apparently) brass valve stems of the TV. Today, I went to remove them and they found that they are corroded in place. Corrosion has bubbled up at the threads. Liquid Wrench hasn't freed them. Meanwhile, the transmitters that are screwed onto the steel stems of the upgraded Monty wheels are in perfect condition, unscrewing easily by hand with the security tool. Any ideas?

I don't remember seeing a warning about that when I switched to TST, but the Pressure Pro system I had before that did warn me about the possibility if applied to steel valve stems. You might have to take them to a tire store to have new valve stems put in after the old ones are cut off. Not sure how to get the sensors off after that. This can't be the first time this has come up. First thing I would do is call TST and see what they have to say.

I spoke with Mike Benson at TST. He says that a chemical being applied to winter roads in the north-east (we're in Ontario, Canada, which qualifies, I think) causes the metals to weld together. He is sending me 7 new sensors (steers, duallies and spare), gratis! Frankly, I was floored. So, TST gets my vote for service above and beyond.
I have had the brass stems cut off and steel stems installed.
