Freshwater tank drain?
Does anyone know if there is a way to drain the fresh water tank on an 05 Mountaineer 298RLS without pumping it all out through a faucet? Seems like there should be a drain somewhere but I've not been able to find it. Thanks.

I have a 04 MOUNTAINEER 297RKS with a rear galley. Fresh water pump is under the frig. If you find your pump the fresh water tank should be close in order for the pump to pick up water.You should have a plastic line under the trailer comeing down from the tank with a screw off cap on it to let the water out without haveing to pump it out. s

My 2000 Montana has a drain from the bottom of the fresh water tank that sticks out through the underbelly with a valve on it. All I have to do is open the valve. I'm assuming that most of the Keystone models have something similar.

Not the same unit, but our 303 RLD fills on the left side facing from the rear of the RV. The drain is a plastic line sticking out of the underbelly with a cap on it (near the inlet,but under the RV). Handy tight. Hope this helps.

I have an 05 Mountaineer(330RKBS TT) and I have one. Mine is located just under the back of the unit on the drivers side behind the axles. I am sure glad it has one because I had several gallons of rv antifreeze in there pumping through the system last fall. I can look back and laugh now but man am I glad that plug was there when it came time to rinse that stuff out.

Found it!! Undeneath near the inlet on the left (drivers side) rear. Thanks, you guys are great!

Most folks (I just haven't gotten to it yet) replace the solid cap with a valve of some kind to facilitate draining. Someone even put a hose fitting on, so he could run the water away from the RV while draining it.
