winterize

Have a '05 3500RL. The dealer has winterized it before but I would like to do it myself. The manual is confusing to me. Does someone have an easy to follow way of doing this?
Thanks

I just drain all the tanks. My water heater is under kitchen sink I reach under there & turn the 2 valves. Take anode rod out of water heater. go to pump & turn valve to theloose end hose stick hose in gal. jug of anti-freeze turn pump on & open all water taps until you see red coming out of all spigots. Then I pour a little in all tanks. Takes a gal & half to winterize it. I have been told by dealer not to get anti- freze in water-heater.

Thanks for bringing this topic up. I just finished winterizing and was able to use all of the wonderful information from everyone, especially you for asking the question.

Well after you get the Monty winterized, you might want to get some Jack Daniels and winterize yourself. Nothing like a little antifreeze for yourself after taking care of the Monty for the winter.

Page 5 of this section of the user manual onward covers both blowing out the system or applying anti-freeze.
