Another poll, how long have you been RVing?

We had an interesting discussion about what units we all have (or hope to have)

Not sure this has been done before, but::::

How long have you been RVing, actually a 2 part question

1.) How long have you been camping (tent, tent trailer, TTt, 5th, or MH)

2.) How long have you been RVing (lets say this is TT, 5th or MH)

So, we will start

We took our first camping trip in 1973, so that is 30 years. We started in a 9 foot by 20 foot army tent, a borrowed utility trailer, 2 kids, a collie dog, sleeping bags on the ground. First year it rained over 80% of the 2 weeks we were out there.

Spent 4 years in the tent, then went to a pop up. 6 years in the popup.

Then our first TT, which was a used Yellowstone bunk house, about 5 years in that. At purchase time we had 3 kids, the bunk house was a momma's dream come true (could not see all their junk and clothes laying all over the place)

Next TT was the 1989 Layton Celebrity, 30 foot, front kitchen, then the FR and bath, and rear bedroom. We used that unit for 15 years, took it to Maine, Florida, Oklahoma, and points between (starting point was Michigan for all trips). We winter camped, cross country skiied out the door of the trailer. We camped on the shores of Lake Huron.

Last unit is the new 3295RK Montana. Took delivery in late June and 5 days later took it to Virginia and back, 1150 miles.
