Slideout Troubleshooting

We have a 2016 Keystone Montana 3402RL. When winterizing, the bedroom slide came in just fine. Went to bring the other three slides in and ran into a problem. When flipping the switch, nothing at all happens. I am hoping it is an easy fix such as a fuse, but I do not know the manufacturer to begin troubleshooting. I am in Phoenix and the Montana is in MO so I don't have the option to check myself. Does anyone have the same model that can tell me the manufacturer of the slides so I can start troubleshooting?

There are typically only 3 types of slide mechanisms on our rigs; cable, schwintek and hydraulic. Here's a video on how to tell the difference.

Screen shot from a YouTube video for your unit.
The three living area slides are hydraulic.
The bedroom slide is an electric BAL cable slide. Hopefully someone here can offer advice for trouble-shooting.

The three main slides are hydraulic. Troubleshooting remotely is a challenge unless you have someone there that can assist. Since nothing happens when you hit the switch, the first thing is to check that 12V is getting to the hydraulic pump.

Ooops...misread the original post. I thought it was a problem with the bedroom slide.

Thank you all. This forum is full of great information and friendly people wanting to help. When I said troubleshooting, I should have said research...lol. Yes, I have someone there who is going to help. For transparency, I spoke to Keystone and they were very helpful as well. They suggested doing a hard reset by 1) Shutting off the main breaker, 2) Unplug RV power cord, 3) Disconnect battery terminals, and let everything sit for 3 to 5 minutes. Then, connect everything back up in reverse order. Hopefully this works...

It's located at Lake of the Ozarks in Sunrise Beach.

Slides not retracting.

Thankfully 99% of the time slides won't operate regardless of type is due to defective battery/batteries. Slides work off the batteries even if plugged into shore power. Just went through this on 2 different RV's. Was at a Campground recently in our Montana 3901FB and brakes quit working just before arriving. Upon set up, difficulty with slides.
Basically everything goes through the battery. I had a Volt Meter and battery read 12 Volts but it was a cheapo meter that would not read Amps. Took battery to O'Reilly's for a quick Charge and Load on it and battery was defective. Bought new battery and everything worked perfectly.
Hope this is your problem B4 you spend thousands on a Tech replacing your Control Panel, replacing Inverter, Troubleshooting, etc.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Ernie. I sure hope that is it as well. I have a friend that's pretty knowledgeable about RVs in general and he is going to check it out tomorrow.

I have a 2017 Montana HC 380 and recently was preparing for a trip and my slideouts were stuck out. Wrote a post of my issue and fixes but, the short story. Found converter bad not charging my batteries. Batteries got so low they wouldn’t recharge. Ended up replacing Converter and batteries… all fixed and working. Only difference my slideouts were all cable….

Unfortunately, you were in that "One Percenter"! Sorry about that. Most people don't know that virtually everything in any type RV goes through or is affected by the battery. Have a nice day. Ernie
