Here's what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001FCB0ZG..._t1_B000BRJURG
Get a quart spray bottle and a stiff brush (not a soft wash brush). Wet down the roof and spray a 4x4' section with the cleaner. Scrub with the brush, wait a few minutes, then scrub again and rinse off. The roof cleans up to look almost new. A few stubborn mildew spots or stains may remain.
I clean ours about twice a year. I don't use a roof treatment afterwards. As long as the roof is kept reasonably clean and has no tears, it will outlast the rest of the 5er. Washing every six months means you can inspect it, reseal where needed, and catch any issues before they become a problem.

I use Protect All Rubber Roof Cleaner following the same technique as Dave with the same results. Some swear by Dawn dish soap. It does work to a point, but not as easy nor well in my few tries with it. I do wipe on some Aerospace 303 after cleaning the roof. It seems to cut down on black streaks.

Be careful using that potent stuff. If you use too much it will remove the wax as it washes off down the sides.

Best advice I got re the roof is just leave it alone. I let the wash crew wash it as I am not getting up there anymore. I just don't bounce like I use to.

In 13 Years I have used Blue Dawn only.IMO the only goal is to remove the gray oxyadation and eleminate it from running down the side of the coach.
