YUMA Snowbirding

I'd like to know from anyone who has (or is now) wintering in Yuma, AZ. at the LTVA's... when it rains enough; does those primitive roads get real muddy & undriveable or is there enough rocks under to make it easy traversing??? Thanks.

shoshana56,
We just spent a few days in a boondocking area north of Yuma. A place called Mittry Lake. The dirt roads were rough but no problem even though we got tons of rain. This particular place drained really well. Got the truck really dirty from all the mud but no problems otherwise. At this site there is a 10 day limit. Can't help you with any of the other sites. There are tons of snowbirds down in this area so I'm sure someone will come by with an answer.

Good luck. HamRad

HamRad - Thanks for your posting.... it's great to hear about anywhere around there. I've been hearing it's been a rainy season this year (again). Didn't know about that 10 day area, will have to check it out someday. Will be waiting to hear from others doing more Long term around Yuma now. Good Rving!
