Dometic RM 1350 refrigerator
Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone that has a RM 1350. Two weeks ago while towing in Kentucky I pulled over to the side of the road for a stop. The wheels on the trailer dropped off the pavement onto the gravel. When we entered the trailer the right hand freezer door had come open and the bottom plastic piece where the pin for the hinge is attached had broken off. the doors was still locked but it opened anyway. I sent a email to Dometic and ask about a replacement door and they sent me the parts list for my model. I sent another email and ask about buying the door and was told it was $434. plus shipping. I decided to try the internet but could only find left doors and no right. I called Dometic again to order the door and bite the bullet but they told me I could not buy one door I had to purchase all 4. I ask the price and was told it was over $1000. for the set.
I wanted to let anyone who has this refrigerator to take very good care of your doors so you never need to purchase one.
I have repaired the door to use until I can locate one from salvage etc. as I refuse to pay Dometic what they want. No more Dometic products for me.
