Lug nut torque
Haven't been here in a while; I know you missed me!
Can anyone tell me the proper lug nut torque for my 2006 329RLT Mountaineer? So far unable to find it on the web and I can't find my notes for the trailer either. Just bein' dumb today.

My larger lugs are torqued to 120# if I remember correctly my old OEM lugs torqued to 115#

6 lugs or 8? I have 8 and book says between 110 and 120 ft/lbs, so I split the difference and use 115 ft/lbs. Just checked them this morning since we just moved.
6 lug is different and I don't remember the spec except that it was less. If a range is specified then pick the number in the exact middle.

The Dexter Manual says all their lug bolts are grade 8, and if 1/2" X 20, max torque is 120 ft lbs, and for the 9/16" bolts, 170 ft lbs max. The torque to be applied is determined by the wheel manufacturer, so this info should be in the Keystone paperwork (find it hard to call it a manual).

We have always had 8 stud axles, have always torqued to 115

Wheel studs only affect the pattern used to torque the nuts...range of 90-120 ft lbs is still correct. Pattern is: top stud, bottom stud, top right stud, bottom left stud, bottom right stud, top left stud. Happy torquing. John
