Tires
Well I have to tell you all we have been bitten the Marabombs, my eagle eyed wife spotted a tennis ball size bulge on the inside of one of the tires on our 5er, good sam to the rescue thy will be here in about 1/2 hour, we will be getting rid of the marabombs asap!!!

Since your unit is a 2014, contact Goodyear and see if they will work with you on an upgrade to the G614s. They just might do something with you. Others have had luck working with them on just that item. Luckily, you won't have to file a claim for damages because the Marabomb was caught and nothing hurt on the unit!

Given all the issues with the Marathon tires....why why they still used???
Failures can't all be improper inflation and excessive speed.

Nice catch on the tire. Keystone has now replaced the marathon with an even worse tire.

I agree, don't tempt fate. It's a roll of the dice as to how long you can get by with the Marathons. Some never have issues with them. You need to heed the warning. My baseball-sized bubble turned into 4 new G614's.

I experienced the same issue on a 2013 3402rl this spring. Ttwo of the tires had significant wear but Goodyear did give me credit for the two "good" tires. Not much credit but $100.00 per tire helped towards G614's. I was happy to get rid of the stock tires and now sleep better!

I just ordered the G-614's and will have them installed Thursday.
Decided it wasn't worth the risk to keep the Trailer kings!!
I'll have 4 of them on Craigslist for sale shortly!!

I have 2013 3402RL and had a blowout recently. Luckily we were off the interstate and just turned from a stoplight when the wife heard it blow. Only panel by door ruined since we pulled over right away. We have approx. 4000 miles on RV and have been full timing almost 2 years. Am now filling out paper work to send Goodyear. I do plan on replacing all tires including spare. On the forums I notice G614 is what some are going with. Is this a Goodyear and if so will it go on existing wheel @ 80 psi. I wasn't going back with Goodyear but if fellow rv's are I'll look into it. Any advice on other good tires to look at and also what is an average price I would expect to pay.
FULL TIMING AND LOVING IT!!

I called goodyear and they told me if your rim is rated at 80psi then for safety they recommend not putting a 110psi tire on them, I looked at the inside of my rim and saw they mine was stamped 110psi, so I am good to go on the G614's.

I am totally surprised you gentlemen are putting out that much money on the G614's. The Sailun S637 have had better reviews then the G614's have ever had. And they sell for about a $100.00 per tire less.
Some will claim that goodyear pays for the damage on a blown tire, well that is all well ,and good. I would just as soon not worry about a damage claim. I challenge anyone to find a negative on the Sailun, I sure have not been able to. I have insurance for trailer damage I don't need to pay at least $400.00 more for MORE insurance.
There has been a lot of talk ,and posts about the Sailun over on RvNet, and it has nothing but positive from the Sailun owners. To the ones that have not went out ,and payed the outrageous prices Goodyear is putting on us research the Sailun ,you will be impressed.

Tom - Shannon, your 2013 rig has wheels rated 110 psi and will work with the G614's as well as the Sailun tire being discussed. You will need to have the all metal stems installed to safely inflate to 110 psi. The down side to installing Sailuns, at least from my experience several years ago, is the difficulty in finding local suppliers, where the Goodyear tire is widely available. Other than that, the Sailun appears to be a good tire, even if it is made in China.

Well we now have the Goodyear G614's on our monty, Goodyear gave us $100 for the bad tire and Americas tire gave us $25 for each of the other tires so I'm happy and feel a lot more confident about being on the road.

Some don't seem to get this paying extra for insurance on a tire that has never had that great a track record to start with. I would prefer a tire that needs no insurance.
