Compatibility with disc brakes

Is the Ford Tow Command brake controller on a 2011 F350 compatible with the Dexter electric/hydraulic brake system on the Big Sky?

I would expect that info to be on the ford website...but you probably already looked there. From what I see on web on dexter with ford controller...the answer appears to be yes. John

I'm 99% sure that is not altogether true. Some of the earlier GM integrated controllers required a work around for use with hydraulic brakes, but I'm sure that problem was resolved the following year. I have hydraulic discs on our Montana and they work great with our GM controller.

Fire5er, instead of asking Ford, I would ask Dexter. They should know.

Don't know about the Dexter pump, but for the Carlisle pump they sell an HBA-CAM module that mounts between the TV brake line and the pump that fakes out any controller into thinking it talking to standard Drum Brake Magnets.

Just read that 2015 GM trucks are now compatible with electric over hydraulic systems. Now I need to know if their is a "fix" for my 2011 3500 SRW Sierra.

Bob, we had Mor/ryde upgrade our Montana with Disc and factory ordered Disc on our SOB and we pull with a 2011 Chevy 3500 Dually. As I posted above there is an interface module that installs before the hydraulic brake pump and tricks the GM into thinking you have standard electric brakes. Have just under 75K on the TV and 95% of that is towing.

In 2011 Ford changed some controller properties in mid year so, some work and some do not. Both Titan & Carlisle make an adapter that will work on the Dexter pump to allow the controller and pump to communicate. The Titan runs abt $70 not sure on Carlisle.

We added MorRyde disk brakes and our brake controller is compatible with the system. We have a 2011 F450.
