central vac
While at the dealer last time I had to look at new Montana's and compare to mine. Saw a central vacuum built in to the new units. Seems as if it would be an easy upgrade. Anyone using the factory unit have any comments on it?

Ok, I pulled out the paper work from January when I placed my order. The price was $395.00 for the central vac at that time. I also looked over the new Retail Pricing Sheet effective 3/15/04 and the current price is $455.00 Sounds like they are not far off from factory installed price. Maybe call around to other dealers in the area. See if they have a better price. Might be worth the UPS shipping to have it sent to you, and have your dealer install it. I have found this to work a few times before with some other hobbies I have.

Our 3670RL came with the factory installed vac and Ann loves it. The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't have a beater bar for the rugs. We carry a small Eureka for the rugs.

Look around at vacuum sites on the net. I bought a beater for rugs that is about 14" wide that runs off the suction of the vac( just like the small hand held one). This eliminates the need for a small upright to clean the carpets.

[Hi Montana Sue,
Thanks for the info. We will be calling around to some dealers by us because I think that from all the posts we do want the central vac.
