Simple suggestion can save big $$$$

As newbies we are so certain that there are dozens of you who already do this that we almost hesitate to suggest it--but here it is anyway as you all have been so helpful to us. A friend from work suggested after his tour of our 5er that the truck keys should always be hung at night on the antenna handle which in our model is directly over the bed. This would assure that in the morning before leaving we would remember to check that the antenna was down. Know that we all have checklists for departures--but a double check or even triple check on some items which can be really costly if forgotten is probably not a bad idea. Hope that this saves somebody out there from a costly accident.

Great ideas! We used to never put anything on the antenna handle and never left the antenna up. It's on Vicki's checklist of things. But a few nights ago we almost pulled out with antenna up. So now Vicki puts this stretching thing (looks like a garter to me but I know it isn't) on the handle as a reminder. I like the keys idea except since we're fulltiming we often use the truck between hookups. But I think it's a good idea anyhow.
