Inverter - followup

Do you connect the alligator clips to the 12v side in your convertor panel?

What are you doing? connecting a Inverter in the power service pannel?
if I were doing it I would hard wire it in less chance of shorting out the alligator clips.

Far better to connect the inverter as close as you can get to the battery(ies). The inverter takes a lot of dc current and there will be a considerable voltage loss in cables over 4 to 5 feet long. Your manual should give you recommendations for the size of cable, cable length, and method of attaching the conectors. AC current will be less than 10% of the dc current, so the ac cables will be easier, and cheaper to install.

The inverter you have has 2 wires with aligator clips on the end =
it was never intended to be hardwired -- not very good u maybe could run a small tv -- seen them in the stores please be careful
