The 'Professionals' at Camping World......update

Maybe they just hire every one else's rejects, or maybe they were drunk and high on the job, who knows.
But a 10 year old kid could pack things better than they do.
I got a package from them, I needed some caulking, and other stuff.
The idiots are causing me to go through all kinds of trouble to get another roll, try to find someone who will actually contact me back, send this roll back, whatever hoops they want me to jump into.
All because they screwed the packing up.
Idiots...

I received a e-mail stating they are sending me a new roll of tape, and a new can of sealant, the can of sealant they sent had clear tape wrapped all around the can and top, when I removed the tape, the can paper label came off...
I saw that in a tracking notice, the order is being billed to me. Now I will have to fight them for billing me twice, two shipping charges as well. They don't want the tape and cover less can back.
I knew this would be a fight, just drives me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!

How hard would it have been to slide a piece of cardboard between the tape roll and the caulk tube? Sheesh!! We went to the CW in Savannah and asked the service department about AGM batteries. Without fail we got the same response form every "tech", what's AGM? Ozz ya got them pegged... Dave and Betsy

See, that's it. They made the error, and I am the one that has to deal with it. A trip to Mission would be costly, I will see what they do over the INTERNET. I will send a copy of the slide show, and my post to the Forum. What follows will be up to them, if they take care of me, I will praise them and show that they make good on mistakes, if not, well, the members will know.
I do believe in giving them a chance.
Dave, what you probably wante to hear from them, is, "I will find out for you sir, and get that information." But I bet they did not.

Why I have always got professional service at C.W. It only took 3 attempts to install my air bags correctly on my previous camper. I will buy things from C.W but I would not let them screw in a light bulb for me.

Ozz, do you suppose these are the same guys that charge $56 to "Install" the louverd tailgate?
Seriously, I've been pretty lucky on the items I've ordered from them. You would think that common sense would come into the picture somewhere, wouldn't you!
Good luck on the replacement and keep us posted on the results.

A friend of mine bought an awning center support from CW and had them install it. They punched a hole in his arning and the manager told him they would replace the awning. Said it would take a week so he left the camper there. More then a month latter, hole in new awning material also so reorder it. He didn't learn this until after he called them. Over a month latter and a few calls they finally got it done, he thinks.

This thread reminds me of when Camping World installed our washer/dryer and second air conditioner in somebody elses Big Sky! It was good that they practiced on someone elses rig before they did ours as Brad pointed out. LOL

David and Jo-Anna, that would be so absolutely hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Did you ever carry on a conversation with anyone that worked there? I think you will find out that they are retirees that want a little extra spending money, or ones that live on the road from one job to the next like a lot on the forum. LOL Always be observent. Get more than one opinion, like on this forum. Have a Great Day

I had a washer dryer installed, they informed me the hole they had drilled was too close to the edge, and that the vent cover I had paid for would not fit, they were installing a plastic one instead.
But the real scary part was that when I went to drive away, I checked the hitch, and it wasn't fully closed or locked. They had pulled it out of the shop and parked in the lot with the hitch only partly closed. Reinforces check everything everytime you get ready to tow.

Good observation.
