Thanksgiving booked at Bryn Mawr St. Augustine, FL

Reviews are mixed, but we are going to give it a try. Site is called beachfront, but from what I can gather, there are dunes that block the view. Site is equipped with some sort of deck that we hope provides the ocean view if it cannot be seen from the rig. Sites are pricey, small, but we want to visit St. Augustine Old Town and being on the beach is an added bonus. Any MOCers ever stayed here and can give insight as to views, etc.

Or put six feet of blocks under the Level-ups and use a ladder to get in the rig??

Build a widows walk on top of the rig.

We stayed there a few years back. The beach is right across the dunes. Yes very hard to see the Ocean from your RV and no the deck doesn't help see the Ocean but ... Just a walk over the dunes to the beach. Easy back and forth to the RV from the beach. We stayed across the street from the Ocean sites and could see the ocean from inside the RV. Not our favorite cg ...sites are tight and over priced but they all are in the area. We know a lot of people who love it there. The girls will probably be in 7th heaven being so close to the beach and downtown St Augustine. There isn't a better cg in the area that I know of. We checked out most of the surrounding ones.

Thanks for the first-hand experience report. I am sure we will enjoy it simply because of the surrounding area.

The area is wonderful. We have not stayed at that particular CG, but if you have time while you are out there, you may want to check out "North Beach" Campground. It is not far from St Augustine, and it is one of our favorite spots to spend time. In any case, enjoy the heck out of your stay!

The absolute best CG in St Augustine is at Anastasia State Park. No, there is no ocean view from the sites, and most of the sites are pretty tight for big 5ers, but if you are lucky enough to land one of them you are golden. It's a great park and close to the old town area.
