Need help with the Vacuum

Thought I would surprise the DW and do some housework for her today.

I pulled and pulled and could not get this dang thing to start. Where is the gas tank and the spark plug. I never have this problem with my own tools.

I finally broke the starter cord and need the help of the fantastic knowledgeable people here on the MOC.

Very funny! That must be why we have a built in.

I am impressed you could stay on one knee that long! Was it the Miller Lite or Bud?

....begin your diagnostics of the problem with the easy things to check first.

Have you pulled the spark plug to see if it's fouled? I seem to have the best luck using NGK spark plugs.

...or perhaps your gas-oil mix is too old.

Speaking of fuel, double check to make sure that there is fuel in the tank.

In cases like this, it is usually the simple things that cause the problem!

It's probably got ST tires on it.

Well Dick I was going to use the built in but could not find the starter cord, only the air filter.

JandC I find I spend a lot of time on one knee, both knees and flat on my back or my stomach being a Montana owner just seems to promote that.

Overlord thank you for taking the time to suggest the "little" things, I did of course check them but when I get the cord replaced will go and get a NGK plug, wonder what the gap should be.

WeBeFullTime based on the recommendations by many on this forum I considered LT tires, however as you can see it don't go very fast so I think I will be ok with the ST tires.

Thanks for all the help fella's, I am off to the small engine repair place for a cord and new plug and will pick up a can of ether and give the carb a spray before pulling the rope again.
