Cleaning tree stains???

On the front and rear cap of my Monty there are streaks I think came from pine trees it was parked under for a couple of months.

They are vertical streaks about the right width to be dew line rolling down.

I've tried cleaning them with typical RV wash and wax stuff with lots of elbow grease. Helped but still there.

Tried the black streak remover. No help there.

Any suggestions?

If they are the same streaks that I get on ours from water or dew running down the sides I have had good success with Nu Finish in getting them out. Good luck.

CB, I use a product available at "Dollar Stores" called "AWESOME". You should dilute it about 2 to 1 and rinse off immediately, especially if you get it on the decals. If you have anything sticky you can use rubbing alcohol or fingernail polish remover. Black streaks are hard to keep away. A good wax or coating will help. I use Protect-All as a protectant....Good luck!!!!!

I don't know if this will help your streaks but for stains from bugs and bird droppings I have had success with a bleach pen.

He is talking about pine tree sap and it is tough stuff to get off and if it has hardened for awhile even harder. We used awesome stright as mentioned but it was still a hard job.

That's correct Rich, if it is tree sap it is difficult to remove. A little kerosene or mineral spirits may help if it hasn't hardened, try to keep this off the decals

It's not sap. It's just black streaks. The unit sat under pine trees during this years pollen season. Not sure just what it is.

Since Black Streak Remover had little effect I was looking for other solutions.

I think I'm gonna try the Nu Finish first.

I was afraid to try anything too harsh. Pretty sure I have used something like "Awesome" Since it didn't eat Phil and Cathy's siding, I guess I'll try it next.

I picked up a bottle of Nu-Finish today. Tried it on a spot. Worked great! Thanks!

Is it OK for decals?

I would probably try and avoid the decals with the NuFinish as the decal maker warns against using wax products on the decals. I usually use ProtectAll on mine.
