Use bounce dryer sheets in the morning, before the dew dries off the rig. You will be surprised at the results.

I have found nothing to take the bugs off easily. Some products will make it just slightly easier that others. It is still going to take a lot of elbow grease to get those critters off. I have tried dryer sheets and various other products with no great results other than just keep scrubbing.

On another note, be very careful with what you do use. Many MOCers post about peeling front graphics, and there are products out there (particularly petroleum based) that are recommended against by the graphic manufacturers. As I stated the best success I have had is early in the morning when the dew is still on the cap of the rig. Now, that being said, if you are in an arid location, I think PapaBeav may be on to something.

I agree with papaBeav.I have tried several cleaners but nothing works better than elbow grease and lots of it. Just no way around it.

I've used the dryer sheets with great success. They don't have to be "Bounce". Almost any dryer sheet will work.

You don't even have to use a new dryer sheet! I keep any dryer sheets we use and put them in a bag. When I need them to work on the "dasterdly bug " that dared to get themselves smashed on the front of our Monte, I just drag out the bag of used dryer sheets and take a few of them out, then I dampen them and climb up on the ladder and scrub away. Try not to let the cleaned area dry but rinse it off after scrubbing several square feet at a time. You will be surprised, it even makes it easier to clean it the next time also. Give them a try!
The graphics distributors told us not to use any petroleum based cleaner on the graphics at the Fall Rally last year!

Bounce dryer sheets for us. They are by far the easiest and best I have tried for removing bugs.

For years I have used only baking soda mixed with water. Let it set for about 10 minutes & then wash with car soap. You will be surprised on the results!

I use an old nylon puff the D/W uses in the shower. It's just rough enough to remove bugs but not scratch anything.

I use Dawn in a 5 gallon bucket of hot water with a car wash brush on a long handle. I have found it works easiest if you just keep it wet. (kind of goes along with Bingo's statement about morning dew). After soaking the bugs several times by running the brush over the area most of them come right off. Takes a little longer but less effort. There will always be a few stubborn ones that require more effort. Jim

I think what you need to do is get one of those little geckos and keep it in a jar in your closet. Get Ozz, or somebody like him that's real handy, to design a small door in the front of the closet. Then after a trip you put the jar next to the door and let your little guy out for a meal.

They make great pets and there are something like 2000 different types. Surely one of them likes mashed bugs that don't have to be chased.

Dryer sheets and water (or morning dew, the same thing).

This is the product we use. http://www.bugmagic.com/ I can clean the entire front of RV that is covered with bugs in less than 5 minutes. Have used for several years. You spray it on and it just turns the bugs to liquid. The web site is being restructured and is not available at this time.

Hey, Jim - First, thanks for your help at the Kerrville rally.

Second, do you follow the Dawn wash with a wax/wash solution? I know Dawn is a degreaser and will remove the wax is why I ask. Following with a bucket of zip wax or blue coral wash/wax would reapply some wax.

Roy, this is a new one for me. Have you seen any harmful effect from the baking soda? Could you let me know how much baking soda you use in a bucket or gallon or whatever of water?

Any problem with the decals?

When you say "wash with car soap," could you give me an idea of what kind of product this means?

Thanks. I'm always looking for better ideas, especially for removing the bugs.
