I have seen it posted that regular unleaded gas is around $4 per gallon on the west coast, is that true? This is the first time ever we are over $2 per gallon here. YIKES!

After doing the rounds of the high fuel price areas, meaning the western half of this country, we're back in the land of more reasonable prices. Pretty sad, though, that we think this is reasonable.

Here in Independence (Kansas City), MO, we're paying $1.569 for diesel #2. Most stations are 1.699 but this one is 1.569. Regular unleaded in most stations is 1.759. There are cheaper parts of the country but this sure beats the prices we paid in CA, OR, and WA.
