Newbie & A New Monty

Hi All, We picked up a new, 2007 Montana 3475RL right before Thanksgiving and did a little shakedown during the holiday. One window curtain didn't work right. Not bad at all for a new trailer.

We pulled a VR-1 for a year and finally decided we needed a little more room. With the Montana we certainly got that. Even a computer desk. I call it my "Command Center."

Next trip will be from East Texas to Tucson for a month around the first part of January '08 for the Rock and Gem Show. Then down to south Texas from there.

I had explored this site for info/problems/thoughts on the Montana before we bought it and I'm glad I did that. Seems like a lot of good people and good information here.

Congrats on the new rig. We bought a 3075RL (to keep the length shorter) in July and have loved every minute we have spent in it. Which hasn't been near enough yet. Only problem we found so far was a factory wiring error to the fridge, quickly corrected by the dealer. I think you will love yours also.

Thanks for all the nice "welcomes," and again, its good to be here with you. Sure am looking forward to our trip to Tucson from East Texas. That four day/3 night shakedown cruise just wasn't enough time with the Montana.

Welcome Ron and Lynda to the MOC Family.

That 3475RL has a great floor plan.and the one Lorraine and I were looking at very seriously. And yes, that desk is also my command center. From that position I can always take commands from the DW.

Welcome and congratulations on your new Monty. We were so pleased with our 2002 Montana and the service that we traded it last year for a new 2006 without even shopping other brands.

You folks sure know how to make fellow RV'ers feel at home. Thanks for all the nice comments.

Most of you guys figured out my comment about the "Command Center" real quick. I guess it just makes me feel important.

Glad to see William, my Canadian buddy on here. He can tell some good stories.

Ron, nice to see you on the forum here. Tons of nice and knowledgeable folks here who are always willing to help. Where are you going to be staying in Tucson? Let me know when and I might be able to zip down there for a visit...it's only 80 miles from here so we could even just do lunch.

Hi Azcampinfool, we're going to be at the Cactus Country RV Park right off Int. 10 at Houton Road. I'll PM you with details. We're going to be there for a month so if you can't get down to Tucson, we can run up to Gilbert if you'd prefer. Sure would be great to shake your hand and we're looking forward to meeting you!
