Retired, Done, Finished, Kaput........

Well..... After 37 plus years - 27 years of employing people,
I'm retired. Sold my School bus company, the cheque is in the bank and I am finished.( 20 years in the building supply business and 17 years in school bus transportation). Weird feeling, don't have to get up and go to work tomorrow. Not bad for only being 53 years old and only having a grade 11 education. Now it's time to relax and smell the coffee (as the saying goes) .
Now you Americans (and Canadians) leave us an RV spot in the South next winter.... and a spot in the north next spring ...
Dawn & I will " longtime" for the next 10 years or so ( We still want to have a stick house) and see what happens after that.
Looking forward to meeting you all at future Rallies (as owning a business never allowed us to get away before).
Take care and travel safe.

J&D

Congratulations. Enjoy it and remember to have a reason to get up in the morning.
I am two years behind you but at age 62.
Cheers,

Your a lucky man. I'm now in my 35th year with the same company and if things keep going the way they are in corporate America I may just join you in retirement.

Congratulations on selling your business. We just sold ours last month and are finally getting to take out the Montana. I sure don't miss my alarm clock. Happy traveling to you.

Great! You will soon begin to wonder how you ever had time to go to work. Keep in touch as you travel. We'll be in the Rio Grande Valley this winter.

Congratulations John and Dawn! How exciting to wake up in the morning and grab a map instead of going to work!

Glad you could join us retired YOUNG folks. We just sold our business after 24 years and I am just shy of 52. It's a great feeling and I am sure it will be a good fit for you too, ENJOY and be healthy.
