Washer/Dryer install 3811/3813

Hello folks, I am curious if anyone has installed a washer and dryer side by side in a 3810/11 or 3812/13 master suite? I would love to see a photo but my question is how solid is the mounting on top of the drawers? Thanks.

Yes. Installed in our 3811MS. Very solid for units, but you will feel the washer during the spin dry cycle. Wife loves having her own W/D. No picture handy.

(Splendide 24in model, Camping World install, plus vent)

Exactly what I am going to buy thanks. No problems with the cabinets at all with them sitting above the drawers?

We have a set in our 3811MS and love the convenience. We've had no issues with the shelf/drawers. It's quite solid.

Thanks so much, it makes me more comfortable having you already done this.

Being inside the cabinet limits opening the W & D doors to a little more than 110 degrees so you have to hold the W or D door to keep it from closing while you load or unload. Just an annoyance. Also, our water valves inside the cabinet are below the height of the washer so it is a little tight reaching them to shut off or turn on. Check w/ your installer if some modification is possible to improve access (if yours are below the washer height).
Our drain is into the shower gray tank. We can run about four loads starting with an empty tank if needed. Usually just open the tank to avoid any issue. Splendide mounting clips hold the units really well. We have room on top of the units to store small bottle of detergent and dryer sheets and basket with other cleaning supplies. Items are stored inside units when traveling.

This is really helpful to me thanks so much guys. I was a little worried about the weight of the machines on the cabinets and the water connections. I feel good now.

Hey Bob, on the washer drain water where drain to, the grey tank or black tank? I'm looking at the 3812 and the sales people are no help.

The sales people have no idea about any of it lol! Look above a couple of posts and you will see shower grey tank. 3810/11 and 3812/13 are the same.

Desert Rat if you have any questions that I might be able to answer while your shopping let me know I probably already asked it somewhere. It took me 3 years to select the 3811 and then the 3813 came out and I liked the mods and bought it. OCD
