Rick keep us updated on the Glide Ride pin box, I also have it and we have pulled ours about 2000 miles and really like it. No jerking or bucking, which is easier on the tv and camper and a lot cheaper Larry & LaVonne

Larry, do you know the difference in pricing between the two pin boxes. I'd like to get one. I thought I saw where the Glide Ride was a little more expensive?

We paid $657.90 plus tax for the Demco, the price for Trailair they quoted was some where around $1200.00 not real sure on that, it's been about a year ago. Larry & LaVonne

We’re leaving for Florida in 3 weeks 6 days 8 hrs 16 minutes and a few odd seconds plus or minus. This will be our first trip with the Glide Ride installed. We’ll put it to the test with stop and go traffic around the Baltimore/DC beltways and with the clipity clop concrete by-pass around Richmond. After that it’s a fairly smooth ride.



Can’t wait.

For me the MOR/ryde pin box was a great investment. A few years ago I had 2 disc removed and a fusion on my neck. The fore and aft jerking really did a job on it. The Pin Box didn't completey remove the fore and aft but what you do feel is so dampened it's no longer a chore to drive. As for the Air Box I'm sure it would help some but there's no damening in the front and back directions that I can see.

Good Evening All,

After a great deal of effort, I have now installed the Glide-Ride pin box on the 3400, and have taken it for a spin around town and down several known problem streets. Hopefully, in the next week or so, we will be taking off for a decent trip. I will report more after that.

My initial opinion is that the back and forth jerking has been noticably reduced. Things are definitely better, but since I have never towed with the Mor/ryde pin box, I can not make any comparisons. I do however have some observations:

1) The Glide-Ride was the least expensive - $739 incl. shipping vs. $795 plus shipping. Not a big difference.

2) Both the Mor/ryde and the Glide-Ride are considerably heavier than the Lippert OEM box - 100+# vs. maybe 50#

3) I have now inspected both the Mor/ryde (at 2 RV shows) and the Glide-Ride. Construction-wise, the Glide-Ride easily "appears" to be the superior product - nice welds, thick metal, shiney black powder coat, etc. Both the Glide-Ride and the Mor/ryde are stouter than the OEM, but the workmanship on the Mor/ryde is not as finished as the Glide-Ride. I will post some photos after I complete my upcoming trip.

4) As mentioned in other posts, the Mor/ryde pin box causes the trailer to ride approximately 1" higher in the front. The Glide-Ride allowed the trailer front to ride about 1/2" lower (good for me)

5) I mean no disrepect to Lippert, but after seeing, touching, feeling, and using the Glide-Ride, the Lippert pin box seems rinky-dink in comparison. Perhaps the Lippert is all it has to be to get the job done, and it probably works fine as a "standard box" for the best (lowest) price. I'm sure the Lippert box cost no where near $739, and that in order to get people to pay that price, it had better look real good!

We got the Trailair installed last June for just under $1000 before our trip to Alaska. We've never regretted spending the money and feel it gives us a noticeably smoother ride.

We are with Judy on this one. I don't remember the exact cost, but it was less than $1000, that's for sure. And that included installation. We met Dale, the owner and designer of "TrailAir" in Goshen when we had the installation done. He personally guaranteed our satisfaction.

At the same time, we installed a Reese "2 way tilt" hitch in the pickup. All this has increased our comfort and security.
