Have to sell

It is with a heavy heart that I have been asked to sell our 2007 3400RL and my 2011 Dodge Diesel 4X4 SLT. While I have posted the information on the selling board, I just thought I would let folks know here because of the traffic.

I purchased the trailer and truck in late 2011 and with the help of many members of this board I outfitted the units with various modifications and upgrades. Our first trip was a long trip through the states and up into Canada through Saskatchewan and into Alberta for the Calgary Stampede and through the mountains, etc. before coming back through the states.

It appears that my wife just wasn't into the camping on this trip, however, we did have good visits with relatives and friends.

Once home she wouldn't step into the trailer again.

She has asked me to put both the truck and trailer for sale and this is what I did. You can find my ad. Here: http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=51266

I want to thank everyone on this board for their assistance and support. I hope you don't mind me lurking around here because I like to here what's going on and you never know maybe someday she will change her mind!

Thanks again Greg

Sorry to hear that. As stated it is a team effort. In our Case Helen is more into it than I am. I don't think she would let me sell the rig.

So sorry to hear you have to sell. It sounds like the first trip out might have been too long for her.

In our family, I'm the one that wanted to travel with a 5th wheel, but when we are gone for an extended time 4-5 months, I am ready to go home and see my family. After being home for a few months I'm ready to go back out again. My husband would love to go full time but I am not yet ready for that, maybe someday.

Good luck,
Marge

Ditto all the above! We have come to realize that with retirement of both husband and wife adjustments in life style need to be made. We spend a lot more time together now, and harmony sometimes depends on compromise. In an RV, especially for an extended trip, you both have to be at least close to on the same page. Sorry this did not work out for you two, but hopefully you will find other things that do. Good luck!

Greg,
We never know whether or not a decision is a good one or bad one. But it is a decision and we have to move on. So best of luck with your new situation. One MUST keep momma happy. Happy Trails, Dennis.

No recriminations from this MOC member!
Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. We all make similar decisions at some point.
