Gettysburg to South of DC

We are in Gettysburg and will be heading to a RV park that is south of DC off I95 near Aquia Harbor, VA. The GPS has us going thru DC on 495--I have done business in DC for over 30 years--so I am thinking an easier but longer route to the west would miss alot of problems. Basically head to Frederiskburg and drive north about 10 miles. Any thoughts on this idea???

We use highway 15 down to 66 then over to 17 to 95. You may want to take rt 234 to 95 so you come out above where you are going.

Someone else will be along to give you another route so you will have a choice. Anything is better than going through Washington.
