Just back from Hunting Island State Park. It is near Beufort, SC, near the SC and GA border. What a great park! Swimming on a very gentile warm beach, surf fishing, pear fishing, crabing, shrimping, nature walks - we did it all with the grandkids. Large sites (W & E only, $15). Day trips to visit historic Beufort and Savanna. Throw in a nice lighthouse, clean restrooms, nice store, and friendly folks. We will go back again and again.
