antelope canyon

Went to Lower Antelope Canyon just outsige Page, Az today where we reserved a guided tour. Wow! This is a slot canyon carved out of sandstone by mother nature on Navajo land where just a narrow gap is open to the sky. Makes me wish i was a tour guide for a season here...but i am not Din'ah or Navajo to most people. Easy to walk through, metal stairs in place to help the tour groups go through the terrain. Google antelope canyon and you will see what a treat this is. There is also an upper canyon that we didn't try to get a tour at and have no doubt it would be fantasic. Tomorrow is Mystical Slot Canyon tour outside Kanab, Utah by Dreamland Safari Tours. John

John, One of the things we missed while in AZ in March and April. It is on our list when we return. Everything we have seen, it looks incredible. So many beautiful places to see in this wonderful country. We did see the Mogollon Rim, drove across the entire rim (only do this if you have a 4WD). Incredible.

One of those things I have seen the amazing pictures but would love to see in person. Was in Page once on business trip but no time to play tourist. Do remember about that same time I was there some people getting caught in the canyon in a flash flood and being washed out into Lake Powell.

We were there in early March. A must see to be sure. It was crazy busy and the tour operators cram far to many people in at once. Got fabulous pics.
