Keys for safe in 2007 3400RL

My husband recently passed away and I am trying to find the key to the safe in our 5th wheel, have tried every key I can find. Can anyone tell me if there are numbers or a name on the key and the general color/size it is? Want to sell the Montana but need to check if there is anything in the safe. Thanks

There are two secret hiding areas around the bedroom escape window. The wood panel on top of the window trim has a finger hole and you can lift it up and the wood trim on the right side of the window is hinged to swing open. Check both of these areas, the keys could be in one of them.

The key has a black plastic "handle" (?) like the entry door key. A number is stamped on it like 033-035, or sumsuch. Looks a lot like door key but a little smaller. BTW, there may be a number on the safe lock, too, matching the key number. Been there, done that. Good luck.

I suspect the cheap little tin box they are using on the 2012 3402RL is not much different than the older ones. The lock has a number stamped on it, mine is 164 and the keys are numbered the same. They are "not" the same as the other locks on either the doors or compartments in the 2012.

If your key happens to be a 164 and you cannot find one, I will gladly mail you one of mine as I don't use the "safe" anyway.

Thanks for all the help! We did get it open with the key from the compartments, mine wouldn't turn it but found my husband's key ring and his worked. Alas, the safe was empty, but now I know!!

Also glad you got it open, not knowing what was in there is always ponderous.
If you need any help with anything else, let us know.
