Hi everybody. We are here in spokane, Wa for the winter. We are having trouble with condensation any ideas?

Exhaust fans running during showering, bathing, and cooking, is a must!!!!!!!!!!!

Leave a ceiling vent open about 1/2 inch, 24/7. Don't need exhaust fan on this vent, but if you have one, run it for a bit each day. But, just keeping a vent open this little bit will help considerably.

You are having a run on particularly wet weather according to what I have been seeing on news/weather reports, so if those don't work, think about a small fan to circulate the air, and possibly a dehumidifier and keep the closet(s) open a bit for circulation. Don't want any mold growing in the back of the closet.

Mrs. CountryGuy covered if you are using the trailer, if storing it, try this: calcium chloride...the white crystals that you put on the sidewalk to melt ice. Put a small pile of them on a piece of outdoor screen and put the screen over the top of a bucket. The crystals draw the moisture out of the air and it goes in the bucket. If really humid, may have to replace the crystals once before spring.

Be very careful of that stuff. We used it on the farm to load the tractor tires with cc and water for weight. Used to have to pump it in/out when repairing flats and if it gets dumped on any metal there will be massive oxidation (rusting). Plastic pail and don't spill it!

I would run the watercloset fan and also try a dehumidifier. Stay warm, it is darn cold up here on the south hill tonight.

You might also try a handy product called Damp-Rid which is a moisture absorbent. Found at Wal-Mart in the cleaning and laundering section. We buy both the plastic container package and a 1/2 gal sized container which is good for re-charging. Our climate here is quite similar to Spokane's in winter and we find that this is helpful in keeping the air reasonably dry.

You might try turning on your ceiling fan in the LR when you go to bed. The circulating air may help keep down condensation and being asleep you shouldn't hear it.

We're in Kansas staying in ours full time and we haven't had any problems. I keep the vent near the shower open about an inch or so all the time. I also run the ceiling fan on low. This helps circulate the air and move the warm air down. Tonights temps are to be down in the teens and our highs are in the low 20's. Loving every minute of it....
