Delivery time for a Montana 3400RL

We were just wondering if those of you that ordered a new 2007 3400RL could tell us how long it took from order to delivery. Our salesguy said 4-6 weeks, does that sound about right?

Sounds really short... We ordered one in the middle of April. Was supposed to take delivery the end of May, but that was only because my dealer found one in the pipeline that only needed minor mods to meet my specs/options. Otherwise, I believe we were initally looking at the first of July/end of June. Keep in mind that the time of year makes a big difference. Spring ordering is not recommended for quick deliveries.

When we had our little incident over the decor on our May 16th factory tour (with our delivery date scheduled for May 31st) they at first told us that they had to re-do the order and sell our original unit to someone else - which we forced them to do - and that we could not get another unit off the line until the "end of August".

This is an approximate 90 day span that came right off of the top of the head of the Jim Edmondson during our "lively' discussion right on the plant floor. As this kinda just "fell out" of Jim's mouth (I had stuff falling out of mine also), without much forethought at the time, this seems to indicate that this may be the automatic mindset of the management - 90 days.

Hope that gives you some idea. Someone just ordered and I believe they were looking at 90 days.

So, 4-6 weeks seems a little out of line, unless he has a "lot" unit already scheduled to come off the line soon that is close enough to your order, that it can easily be modified w/o disrupting the entire order (like we did).

Back in 2004 it took 7 weeks from order to pick up, and that includes a 2500 mile delivery to the west coast. Now that Keystone has increased production on the Montana line, the time frame you were give could happen. I would say closer to 6 weeks though just to be safe...

Eight weeks has been about average unless the dealer has one in the pipeline that can be adapted to your order.

I was just told 10 weeks.

But I'm sure that is the generic answer so I will be happy when it gets here early.

The dealer told us ten weeks also, that's too long. We ordered ours on Sat 6/10 and it arrived at the dealer's Mon 7/31, picked it up Fri 8/4. So it took exactly seven weeks from date ordered (Mon 6/12) until it arrived at the dealer's.

Ours was a couple days short of nine weeks when we took possession.

We are planning a trip as soon as it arrives, also the tags on my 05 2955RL expire at the end of September and I was hoping that I wouldn't have to throw the tag money away to re-register the 05 for a week or so. Oh well, we'll just wait. Thanks for all the responses.

July 12 - we placed our order with the dealer
July 13 - dealer called in the order
August 18 - build date
August 24 - arrives at dealer
August 29 - we took possession

I think one thing that can change the length of time is how long the rig sits at Keystone awaiting transportation. Also, if Keystone finds something wrong with it in whatever inspection they do (yes, they do that, I've seen the red tape on finished units marking areas needing work) then it might be a day or two longer getting out of Goshen.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!
