Blown fuses

I am continually blowing the mini 30 amp fuse when I raise my front legs. The dealer first told me to put in a 40 amp. That still did not work. Then they replaced the board and motor, that raises the legs. It worked fine for about 3 times and now I have started to blow fuses and again they tell me to put in a 40 amp. Which I have. I will know next week if I will have the problem. I am assuming I will because I did last time. They just don't seem to know what is wrong.

It would help folks on the forum to help if they knew what year and model of montana you have. As well, I assume these are electric landing gear instead of hydraulic or even 6 point leveling. John

I replaced the fuse with a ATO / ATC Blade-Style Circuit Breakers - Auto Reset like this one.

It trips then once cooled down (5 to 10 seconds normally) it resets and we continue the process.

Increasing the fuse size too much can cause wire damage and maybe a fire from over heating.

Do not raise the legs all the way up until the motor groans or you will keep blowing fuses. Lower the legs about a quarter of an inch and put some white electrical tape around the leg then don't raise the legs further than when you can see a sliver of leg above the tape.
