Diesel Fuel Membership

Well I reactivated my fuel card membership named "CFN" (Commercial Fieling Network) I have had this card for years but never used it untill yesterday, and saved .10 cents per gal. doesn't sound like much but it's still a savings of sort, these stations go across the USA. I guess when I'm traveling I'll be able to save a couple of dollors here and there.
Here is there web site. http://www.cfnnet.com/locations_01.html

I had to disconect from the forum and do an up date to repost the location be right back.

CFN sounds like a good idea but I thought it was for businesses only and private parties could not join, also you had to purchase so many gallons of fuel a month ?? If it's open to private parties let me, I would like to join.
thanks for any help.

We had the card a few years back but then noticed we actually paid more for fuel than the other stations. We will have to check it out again.

Yes that is true in some cases. you must call and get a price before you purchase fuel they even recomended me to do that. It's like going shopping for a new truck, you compare prices, and if one place has it higher than another, I like you will go to the other.
I was not told that I have to get XX gals of fuel a month, maybe it is different now.
But I have had this card for over 10 years now and used it once because the prices were higher.
Also the prices will be different in each state, California has much higer prices for fuel than most other states because of all the taxes they put on any type of fuel here.
Below is the company that I filed my application for there card.

Wilcox & Flegel Oil Co.

Don, we're finding California fuel prices ridiculously high but, believe it or not, it was worse in Nevada and Utah. So the cancer is spreading to the east. At least here in California we're seeing diesel cheaper than regular unleaded gasoline. I don't think they lowered diesel. I think they raised gasoline above diesel.

I checked the hyperlink for a local gas station in Austin Texas. If I have the correct location it would be a nightmare getting to the station pulling an RV. Are these stations along interstates or are they mixed in where ever?

Diesel is lower than regular gasoline in the Austin Texas area right now.

I use the Flying J RV card, gets me a penny off per gallon. I also check their website, try to find the cheapest stop in the area.

TT2,
I thought about it, but I went with one of those airline cards instead. If the bill is over a buck I charge it, and then pay it off in full when the card bill comes at the end of the month. I figure fuel is not going to get any cheaper (nor is anything else) so I might as well fly around the world First Class for free on my spending. =)

I can't believe that my dealer is going to let me put my purchase of our Monty on our credit card. I was planning on writing a check, but heck if I can get the points on my credit card I will and walk away with a smile

We use a Chase Visa card that gives us 5% rebate on fuel and grocery prices. At 3 bucks a gallon that's $.15 cents a gallon savings. That becomes 16 cents when you add the Flying J card.

Glen I also use the Chase card. They send you a check not a rebate. They pay a minimum $50.00 sent to me to spend as I like (on my gas bill LOL). Chase is also 5% on prescription drugs purchases.

I stand corrected. Lorraine handles the cards. I just thought it was inform of a rebate. We even use it for Wal*Mart fuel purchases as it beats their measly 3 cents per gallon

That is great (5% rebate) if you pay your balance every month, but these types of cards usually have much higher interest rates.

We do pay it off every month but I believe the rate is around 13% which ain't all that bad compared to some that are in the 20% range.

All you had needed for the Good Sam discount at Loves was your membership card. But unlike the Flying J card you had to take the Good Sam into the counter to get the discount. Most folks didn't bother so GS or Loves dropped it.
